NAGA CITY --- The Bicol Central Station (BCS) continues to innovate as three units of a computerized booking system have been on strategic locations within the terminal for the convenience of its passengers. The equipment promises easier access for consumers to buy tickets for buses headed to Metro Manila.
The three-phase modernization program of the LGU-Naga moves forward with the launch of its online booking kiosk yesterday, September 4, that will help clients avoid the hassle of long lines for bus seat reservations.
City Mayor Nelson Legacion and Vice Mayor Nene de Asis led yesterday’s formal launch of the online bus ticket kiosks.
The innovation consists of a Bus Operating System and Display System, which displays for digital public viewing of the transportation routes of provincial buses going outside of Bicol.
Moving forward, the station also released its online booking service, which aims to provide opportunities for clients to book their travel one month in advance, regardless of their current location.
According to Roderick Reforsado, BCS terminal manager, the project was conceived through shared efforts between various local bus companies, convening to make transport experience for every passenger accessible and more comfortable, and the city government, through the BCS.
Added facilities installed at the station include additional seats for departure areas of local bus trips and the recent addition of free mobile phone and other digital gadget charging stations for passengers while waiting for their bus. Soon, there will free drinking stations around the terminal.
At the BCS, convenience and safety of every Bicolano passenger are foremost, according to Reforsado.
