La Consolacion Baao celebrates 80th Founding Anniversary
The La Consolacion College Rinconada-Baao Campus, formerly Sta. Monica Academy joyfully celebrates the 80th foundation anniversary from February 19-22,2020.
The only Catholic school in Baao was founded by Fr. Florencio Gonzales and Mo. Consuelo y Pages, OSA in 1949.
This year’s theme “Celebration of Gratitude and Mission: a Way of Looking Back and Moving Forward.” The La Consolacion College Baao is a learning institution that provides high quality catholic education molding the next generation of leaders. They offer a complete and comprehensive Catholic Education Curriculum from Kindergarten, Elementary Education, Junior High School, Senior High School at their main campus. At present, Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal OSA is the school president.
The 80th Founding anniversary is a weeklong activity which from February 17 to February 22, 2020 will be featuring varied activities e.g. funrun, concert, as well as field demonstrations from all the different grade levels from grade 1 to 12. The campus will be filled with a festival like atmosphere with booths offering food and different fun activities which will be run by the alumni and the students.
Kicking off the weeklong celebration on February 19, 2020 is the thanksgiving mass presided by Fr. Ace Baracena and other alumni priests.
On February 22 will be the grand Alumni night which will be highlighted by the awarding of outstanding alumni and posthumous awards.
La Consolacion College Rinconada-Baao Campus, formerly Sta Monica Academy is a school under the congregation of the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation. It is a member of Association of Schools of Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation (ASAS). It is located in San Ramon, Baao, Camarines Sur, adjacent to St. Bartholomew Parish Church. It is the only existing private Catholic school in Baao, which offers both primary and secondary education. It is a member of Bicol Association of Catholic Schools. LCC-R is also PAASCU (Philippine Association of Schools Colleges and Universities) Accredited Level II. . It is one of the best-known private Catholic school in Rinconada area as well in Camarines Sur and the whole Bicol Region producing responsible and competent citizens of our country and of the global village.
