Dubbed as Fratelli Tutti virtual meeting, the Bicol Bishops, headed by Metropolitan Archbishop of Caceres, Rolando J Tria Tirona, met last January 18 via zoom with the other suffragan bishops Bp Rex Andrew Alarcon of Daet, Bp Allan Hidalgo of Sorsogon, Bp Joel Baylon of Legazpi, Bp Jose Bantolo of Masbate, Bp Jose Rojas of Libmanan and Bp Manolo de los Santos of Virac.

Fratelli tutti is the third encyclical of Pope Francis, subtitled “on fraternity and social friendship”. In the document, Francis states how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected countries and how to manage through global cooperation. In line with this, the 7 bishops of Bicol took the virtual meeting as opportunity for “kumustahan” updatings and planning for the Year 2021, particularly the Year of St Joseph and 500th Year of Christianity.

The meeting ended with virtual merienda.
