Capitol brings medical and dental mission to CamSur folk
CamSur’s PHO brings medical and dental mission to Iriga City, Tigaon, Goa, San Fernando, Milaor, Bula, and Bombon in the 1st half of February and residents of Tigaon, Iriga City, Goa, San Fernando, Milaor, Bula, and Bombon received much-needed healthcare services through the Provincial Health Office Cam Sur’s community-based medical and dental missions held from February 3 to 12, 2025.
The initiative, aimed to promote accessible and quality healthcare, offered the community free medical and dental consultations, along with essential services such as ultrasound, urinalysis, X-ray, dental check-ups, tooth extractions, and other vital health interventions. Beneficiaries also received free medicines and vitamins to help address common health concerns.
Among the recipients was Clarita Borela, a 75-year-old grandmother, who has benefitted from the program multiple times already. She shared how the mission has consistently provided her with much-needed medical attention.
“Salamat sa pagpamedikal, dakulang pagtitipid ini para sa arog samuyang nagtitios. Dae na kami kaipuhan magduman sa centro ta tigtutuyo na kami. Ako kaya nagmi-maintainance nin losartan, asin natawan man ako nin libreng paracetamol asin vitamins para sa ugat.”
Meanwhile, Mary Rose Pajabes-Cernitches, a 24-year-old pregnant woman, was a first-time beneficiary of the program. She expressed her gratitude, noting that the program provided her with access to essential medical services that would have otherwise been beyond her financial reach.
“Seven months na po yung baby ko. Nagdigdi po ako ta may libre pong laboratory ta mahal po baga sa ibang laboratory. Nagpapasalamat po ako ta nabawas-bawasan ang gastos dahil po digdi.”
This medical mission reflects the commitment of Gov. Luigi Villafuerte and the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur to prioritize public health, particularly in communities with limited access to healthcare services. pgomultimedia
