Coach FRESH did it again!

Arlan Faurillo aka Rlan FRESH is a 35-year-old head coach and owner of one of the longest existing gyms in Naga City. He is currently a Brown Belt, the first brown belt in Naga, under coach Stephen Kamphuis of Team Fabricio. He is a top-tier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor who recently took home the gold at the National Selection Trials that was held in Makati City, making him one of the newest members of the Philippine Team that is set to represent our country this year. Rlan Fresh has become known for his dedication and discipline, and is a force to be reckoned with in and outside the mats.
Being a playing coach is not easy, but he makes it seem effortless, seamlessly balancing his responsibilities as a leader and a competitor. His journey to victory wasn’t without its hardships, though. Before stepping onto the competition mats, he battled through numerous injuries that would have sidelined many others. Despite the setbacks, he persevered, never letting the pain or limitations stop him from chasing his goals. Instead, each injury became a lesson in resilience, and through sheer determination he secured the gold medal and gave him a spot on the National Team.
After the competition, Exhilaration, pride, and relief are the words he uses to describe that moment, while holding the medal and feeling its weight, a tangible reminder of years of hard work and sacrifices.
Now that he is part of the national team, his next move is to continue training, ensuring he’s fully prepared for the toughest challenges ahead. To make this possible, he needs our financial support, and we are currently seeking sponsors to help fund his upcoming international competition this year.
