In Bicol: DOLE finally approves P395- daily minimum wage

MINIMUM WAGE HIKE. The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bicol finally approved the regional minimum wage increase in the Bicol Region by as much as Ph30/day from the current rate of Ph365 daily minimum wage to Ph395 effective December 1, 2023. This was announced during a press conference held by DOLE and the Regional Tripartite Wages & Productivity Board (RTWPB) V last December 4, 2023 at the CamSur Convention Center Function Room, Capitol Complex grounds, Cadlan, Pili which is the provincial seat of government headed by Gov. Luigi Villafuerte as chief executive. The timely wage hike effectively benefits private employees and in the same presscon, the board also granted a Ph1K pay hike per month for kasambahays employed in private households in the region, thus, increasing their monthly pay from Ph4K to Ph5K.
