International Coastal Cleanup Day – Caramoan

The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur partnered with the Caramoan Vice Mayor’s Office and the El Verde Youth - Caramoan Chapter for the International Coastal Cleanup Day held on October 5, 2024. This event is part of a series of cleanup activities in the coastal areas of Caramoan, participated by a total of 224 youth volunteers along with the Provincial Government’s personnel.

Among the activities in this program are the cleanup of the shores, trash hunting, reef care through the collection of crown of thorns, and mangrove planting.

“As much as we love ourselves, I hope that we also give the same amount of love to our environment. Let’s help one another and be curious of what’s really happening in our surroundings,” said Jolina Daniela Guarin, a 3rd-year BS Biology student from Garchitorena and El Verde Youth volunteer who participated in the said event. pgomultimedia
