Pilot test run of enhanced local DRRM plan for LGUs in CamSur

The Enhanced Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan (LDRRMP) Formulation Guidebook, which incorporates findings from disaster risk assessments, provides a comprehensive framework for developing strategies to be integrated into Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plans (LDRRMPs).

During the five-day workshop conducted last August 12-16, 2024 at the Digital Transformation Center, Capitol Complex, Pili, Camarines Sur, focused on the planning toolkit, participants from various LGUs across Camarines Sur engaged in in-depth discussions on the five stages of formulating the Enhanced LDRRMP. Feedback from the LGUs, particularly regarding the navigation and input of information, will be instrumental in refining and improving the current version of the toolkit. Additionally, the insights gained by the participants throughout this workshop will help them in updating and enhancing their respective LDRRMPs.

We extend our appreciation to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), through the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for providing the Province of Camarines Sur and its LGUs with the opportunity to share their experiences and perspectives in shaping the Enhanced Local DRRM Plan Formulation Guidebook. pgomultimedia
