By Connie Calipay

LEGAZPI CITY --- The Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) on Friday distributed information and communication technology (ICT) equipment to police stations affected by various weather disturbances in the region.

PRO-5 Director, Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon, led the distribution of the equipment to the Naga City Police Office (NCPO) and the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office (CSPPO) at the PRO-5 Grandstand in Camp Brig. Gen. Simeon A. Ola here.

"This distribution of ICT equipment highlights the Philippine National Police's (PNP) commitment to ensuring that its units have the necessary resources to effectively carry out their duties, even in the face of challenges brought on by natural disasters," he said.

Dizon said that by enhancing their technological capabilities, police units are better equipped to manage reports, process data, and maintain seamless communication — all critical elements for delivering efficient police services to the public.

"This initiative is part of the PNP's recovery efforts to restore the operational capabilities of police units affected by the recent typhoons in the region," he added.

The Naga City Police Station received three desktop computers and five printers to assist with administrative and operational tasks.

It's sub-police station 1 received two desktop computers, two printers, and a router; the sub-police station 3 was allocated a desktop computer and a printer; and the sub-police station 5 benefitted from five desktop computers, three printers, and two routers.
