A tragic shooting incident involving two Special Action Force (SAF) members and a separate suicide case marred April 1, 2025, in Camarines Sur. In Sipocot, a SAF member allegedly shot and killed a fellow officer, prompting authorities to prepare a murder case against the suspect.

The shooting incident stemmed from a simple argument in which the suspect told the victim, a fellow policeman, not to bring his own laundry inside the comfort room as it was still being used by the suspect. The victim became angry and punched the suspect twice. In response, the suspect retrieved his long service firearm, a Galil rifle, and shot the victim. The victim was hit in the head and was rushed to the Bicol Regional General Hospital in Cabusao, Camarines Sur.
CSPPO’s Police Communication and Development Unit reported that a murder case is being prepared against a Special Action Force (SAF) member for allegedly shooting a fellow SAF officer. Police Capt. Liza Jane Alteza, CSPPO Public Information Officer, confirmed the ongoing investigation.
Meanwhile, in Milaor, a businessman was found dead in an apparent suicide, further adding to the day’s distressing events.
